Photo tips:

Taking a good photo of the area.

I ask my clients to provide a photo of the area of the tattoo. This helps me assess the shape and size of the area, the person’s skin to an extent, and existing tattoos or scars. It is very helpful and in some cases essential to get a good clear photo. Here are some do’s and don’ts:

Don’t:

  • Take the photo sitting

  • Take the photo at an angle

  • Use dim or uneven lighting

  • Mirror selfie

Do:

  • Use a tripod or phone timer, or have someone else take the photo

  • Stand neutrally

  • Use even lighting
